Graham R Wood Detective Lauriant Investigates Pbk published May 2004 by Intrigue Press at £9.99 ISBN: 1890768626

A Worldkrime Mystery
"Soothing, stylish prose, low-key but persistent action, and deft character descriptions are nicely blended." Library Journal

Set in the pastoral ambiance of 1960s France, Detective Lauriant Investigates contains two hardboiled novellas.
"Death in a Ditch" delivers Lauriant to Saint _ Sauveur where he begins the nasty task of piecing together the grisly death of an antiques dealer whose body has been found in a ditch.

"Murder in the Vendee" finds Lauriant disgraced and banished to a small, sleepy province where he must solve the mystery of a Count's murder. The obvious murderer is the Count's son. However Lauriant senses a deeper, political, cause hidden beneath the tranquil surface of this village.

Graham R. Wood has always had an interest in the mystery novel. An honors graduate in politics, he pursued a business career that took him around most of the world. From this he has returned to his first loves-the mystery novel, his home in Wales, and an affair with France and all things French. Wood lives in the beautiful Welsh valley of the River Wye with his wife, Lynda. This is his first novel.
