Trying to catch him is Detective Inspector Tom O’Brien and his newly promoted partner, Detective Susan Williams. We follow the pair as they try and figure out why an old granny is suddenly robbing banks on their patch.
However as the story develops we realise why David is shocked to find out that Detective Williams is the one hunting him. Williams is her married name but her maiden name is Monroe, the eldest daughter of Ellie and David Monroe.
As the story climaxes we follow the emotionally roller coaster ride Williams is forced to go on when she discovers that her dad, the man that used to push her on her swing and sing songs to her, is the person behind the bank robberies. The big question for her is can she turn in her own dad or go against her own beliefs and the reason she became a police officer.
