Jeremy Cameron is a full-time Walthamstow Probation Officer with an intimate knowledge of East London crime. His writing is fast, funny, and daringly true-to-life...

The thing is, Nicky Burkett wasn't expecting a dead MP to turn up on his doorstep. Nor had he planned on the world and his wife having something to say about it.
Next thing he knows, Nicky's got to take the heat from the Old Bill, the warrant, the probation, and more to the point, the missis ain't happy. And Nicky's supposed to be keeping clean at the moment - he can't afford not to. But the dirty trail of revenge being led by the dead MP's wife, and the rest of the ignorant toffs, combined with Mickey Cousins's lot (whose favourite sport is aggro) make it pretty hard to resist...
So Nicky takes Noreen on the detective trail to Switzerland, where they discover that underhand antics don't just happen in Walthamstow. In no time at all he's up to his neck in it....

Jeremy Cameron is a Walthamstow probation officer with an intimate knowledge of
East London's lawlessness and crime. His books follow the adventures of anti-hero Nicky Burkett - an East London low-life, always in trouble and with a reputation as long as your arm. Through him we witness the world of violence and squalor to which he belongs - a world of unwritten rules of honour and obligation, full of outcasts, misfits and warped criminal geniuses.
Cameron's writing is fast, furious, and extremely funny with the same street rhythm that made Roddy Doyie so popular. It captures the authentic voice of the streets, and betrays a warm affection for rebels who cheat the system. He is the author of Vinnie Got Blown Away and It Was An Accident. He lives in Walthamstow and drives a Skoda to avoid getting his car nicked.
